How does the rest of the US feel about California?

Now I'm actually really fucking curious. I was at a meeting this morning. The Omaha Accounting team felt that we were being vague in our instructions and then condescending when they aren't able to deliver on what we ask of them. One of my team members assured them that the training on our part was fine, which I agreed with, and they dropped it in that Californians are snobby and pretentious. As you can tell, it didn't go well.

I want to know why America hates California. What is it?
