this week at camp, church camp, i found myself. i found God. on thursday, my friend told me about how she was abused and was raped and so much more as a child i realized that my life was great. then i felt sooo guilty about complaing about my life when some people have it so much worse then me. and as a recovering cutter i couldn't help but cut because i felt so guilty, it was worse then any other cutting episode i've had in the past 2 years. then on fri during worship we had a good chunk of time of silent prayer and a time to go up to our youth ministers if we wanted to talk or anything. and i'm not making it sound as powerful as it really is--its just a amazing time having so many teenagers being so close to God. but during that time i felt something in me and that something told me i needed to do something about my cutting. so right then i made a promise to god and myself that i would never cut again. and that is when i truly found God in my life and it felt so good

It was just my way of saying that having a God is no different from having an imaginary friend... If you seriously believe that your imaginary friend exists and is always with you then you will feel better about everything.
