If anyone is stupid enough to believe that Jamie Lynn's situation is typical of teenage parenthood, it isn't going to take much to drive them to stupid actions anyways.

She may be a teenager, but she's a wealthy and successful teenager.  She isn't going to encounter the same struggles that the typical teen mother encounters.
