A broom. Also, if I were you I'd invest in a nice tempurpedic mattress pad(doesn't need to be name brand, Target makes one too), they can run between 20 and 30 dollars, and they make a HELL of a difference to the mattress. Dorm beds are usually really shitty, just sayin.

Shower shoes, shower caddy, cleaning supplies, food, entertainment, a cooler for your laptop (if you have one), a phone (not JUST a cell phone), silverware and dishes...a lot of "home" items like that.

Ever heard of MRSA or Staph infections? You will get those easily in communal showers. Staph broke out in one of the dorms where none of them used shower shoes, and one of my guy friends contracted MRSA, he also never wore shower shoes.
