I got an email today telling me I should join this website so I did and took a look at this checklist thing and referred another friend and she tells me she has joined but it doesnt seem like the checkmark is going away. Can anyone help? Thank you.

She says that she has clicked on a poll and yet the checkmark is still there. It doesnt really matter. Are there any advantages to completing this? It seems like I am able to browse through this place fine even without. Thanks for all your help anyways.
