That's not the same as 'missed' though, you used to report them and nothing was done, either the posts weren't as bad as you thought or the mods were dismissing them in spite of misconduct, but as long as they get reported, we look at them and make a determination. I really have not seen a shortage of misconduct reports to be honest, there's always certain members that report every little thing.

i havent either, im just saying that many mods, especially the noobs have trouble differentiating between jokish spam and harmful spam in the support forum

The caliber of the mods is a whole other issue though, if you make the spectrum of this topic too broad people will lose understanding and nothing will ever change.

I like these ideas. Here are the two problems I forsee though: 1) We'd need a lot more mods. There are a lot of SLs, and the current team would not be ale to keep up on top of everything. And with precious few acceptable applications, I don't see where this is coming from.
I don't agree. We have 34 mods. 176 Support Leaders. Of which 31 are tech. 7 tech mods = 4.42 TSLs per TSL Mod. But that leaves us with 145 Peer SLs. Between 34 moderators that's 4.26 SLs per mod. Excluding the solely TSL Mods, We have 31 PSL Mods, That's 4.6 PSLs per mod. I'd say that many SLs isn't too hard to handle. I kind of like Jareds idea. But I'd simply prefer to remove moderation powers from SLs. Then the role will be about providing support again. Which seems to have disappeared ... Post edited at 1:16 am on July 23, 2008 by Spice

How about we divide the current support leader status into the original Support Leader status with the ability to reply to eHelps and suchlike, and some sort of sub-moderator status, with the ability to delete posts and suchlike?
