I think it's wrong to fight, either way about it, I'm 100% for love, not war.

I believe though, that it's wrong for girls to fight. It's very unfeminine. Therefore, if a girl has the balls to up and hit a guy, he has every right to hit her back. She's throwing away her "delicate femininity" by throwing a punch. He has every right to defend himself in the case.

I would like to use this post to express a very large FUCK YOU to gender stereotypes, and the people who think everyone should live up to them.

But I would never start a physical fight.

I'm not stereotyping anyone. I hate fighting, and I think it's disgusting to see a girl fighting.

Don't throw it if you can't take it is right. I think guys should be able to be politically correct in hitting a girl if she thinks she is man enough to take it.

I'm really leaning back and forth between whether it's OK or not.

If a guy hit me, I'd hit back.
But...

It's not right for either to hit one another. That just sounds stupid, "Girls can hit guys, but guys can't hit girls."

If more people settled it the right way(talking or arguing) without being juvenile about it, we wouldn't be debating about this.

Yeah, not every fucking stereotype is negative. I'm not saying "girls can't fight."
I'm saying, it's politically incorrect for girls to fight because girls to me are delicate, beautiful things that don't need to be throwing fists around because it's tainting to their image.

I don't think anyone should fight (girl or guy,) in my opinion it justs shows the person has no class and can't settle an argument the right way. All fighting does is make things worse.

It doesn't matter to me if a stereotype is positive or negative, it's still a stereotype and they're silly. I don't like being viewed as a delicate little flower, because I know it's not true.

I think there's nothing wrong with girls fighting, and i dont think it makes them any less "feminine".

I wouldn't fight anyone unless it was in self defense or the defense of someone else and in those circumstances i would fight anyone regardless of gender.

You are essentially implying that we should be living by the "eye for an eye" mentality.

We should be discussing the permissibility of of violence, rather than the gender politics of "hitting back," which is, by the way, very offensive to begin with.

I agree to an extent. I'm not sure if it's wrong for a girl to fight but I'd say that men are by nature more prone to fighting and women talking. If a girl chooses to get physically abusive (which does happen a lot), the guy should have a right to self-defense. There are many girls who could beat up guys, and I don't think generalizing male and female works. My friend was literally beaten up by his gf when they broke up but I'm guessing she didn't have any cuts and bruises..why, because she's girl? What right does she have to unleash physical power on someone knowing that she has a right to and they're unable to defend?
