i know quite a few models, and none of them are dumb what-so-ever. In fact one of them is the smartest person i know and i know a lot of smart people. I think this is just a steriotype.

Nah, but I do think they are likely to be ...mmm ...to be a model you have to work hard to maintain your appearance, keep up with fashion, wear makeup, do all that stuff I was always waaaaay to uninterested to bother with. I assume putting so much effort into looking good means you won't be putting it into learning chemistry or 18th century poetry.
