why do people feel the need to justify that they aren't hippies on here?  
i find it sad that people think that others will judge them and label them as a hippy just because they saying something along the lines of animals, love, peace or something like that. that's really sad.  

what's a hippy anyway? if loving animals, apreciating the beauty of nature, caring about the enviroment etc. etc. automatically qualifies someone as a 'hippy' then that's just stupid. if that's the definition of a 'hippy' then i am one, absolutely more than fine by me.  
if that's how you define 'hippies' then what's so uncool about being a 'hippy' anyway? where do you get your view from that anyone saying something 'hippyish' is just to be dismissed as a stupid hippy? that south park episode? the airhead-hippy-stereotypes presented negatively to you through the media? that's just your narrowminded perception of the term 'hippy'. i don't care if someone calls me a hippy because i know who i am and i know that they probably don't know what they're talking about. they should realise that most people they go around calling hippies are in fact more complex than that and just maybe possibly might have other sides to them!!!!! i love animals AND i love nature AND *shock horror* i'm partial to some herbal tea sometimes. 'Omgz aaah it must be a fucken hippy!!!!!!!' just get over it.  

Okay, end of my long crazy hippy rant  

and good one with the video. it's horrific. makes me feel sad to see images like that and glad i'm a vegetarian.
