there are gaps like this in the U.S. too. On reservations, life expectancy can be as low as 47 years.

You don't believe the life expectancy between them is different?
Um.. well it is.

Why it is, is a matter open for debate, and an interesting question that might have unexpected answers.

For instance (and there is no reason to believe this is the case here) rich old people might move into an area making it have a higher proportion of the healthy and old and a lower proportion of young people with diseases. Those people might all have existed wherever they live but just happen to have bought up property in respective areas.

that was on the news this morning, made me laugh how my dad was from the poorer side of glasgow and my mum wasnt. but my dads a healthier person haha
