I explained how we handle this issue. If the topic is going to have too many replies hidden from it, we lock the topic and allow the member to make a new topic.

So you'd rather have a bunch of empty pages with posts removed due to content violations and replying to removed posts? That would be even worse to be honest because then the conversation gets removed totally. It's not the moderators fault if your topic doesn't get replies, don't blame this on them. This isn't your fault, and it's annoying, but you have to live with it.
No my conversation would not be removed, I'm not IN the conversation between tweedle dee and tweedle dum. Got it?

Not your posts per se, and I wasn't saying your posts specifically, but rather conversations in your topic. This isn't about you and what you wrote. This is about what the derailers did to your topic. You also replied to a post that might be removed though. You were taking part in the discussion, but it was derailed. It's not your fault but if it wasn't locked it might have been carried further on. Why have to delete all those posts when locking the topic is a better way to prevent flaming.
It was absolutely not derailed, me and greatescape11 were talking about it to the end, there was a separate irrelevant discussion going on in there but I was ignoring it. I also wouldn't mind if that one post of mine was removed. locking the topic is also the best way to prevent the conversation from continuing.
