Funny how when I mention that the argument was never about abolishing slavery in the South, but in the West you claimed I was wrong, then turn around and claim that the war was mostly over the expansion of slavery into the western territories. Also funny how you claim that the war started when South Carolina left the Union, but completely ignore the few months that followed the secession of South Carolina up until the attack on Fort Sumter. But I guess the funniest part is how you start off claiming that the entire basis of the war was the abolishment of slavery, then you end with the war being about saving the Union, which this cause for war falls neatly in line with the origional 13th amendment to ensure that slavery would become a protected institution in the USA. Also, before you try to talk about logical fallacies, maybe you should learn what they are? Just keep showing how much you don't know about what you're talking about.
... What are you talking about? I have been saying THE same thing the entire time. Show me where I said you were wrong about the war being about western expansion? Where do I start off claiming the entire basis for the war IS slavery... in fact I think I said quite the opposite? Did you read anything I wrote? I can't even understand parts of what you wrote... I give up you win with your stupidity. I'll keep posting and correcting you though.

Nah, being in VA, I've known good guys who wore the confederate flag. It could mean a many number of things not necessarily racism....like southern decency/tradition. Generally most whites like to associate the confederate flag with racism or in some cases even nazism though....which is stupid and basically overshadows any good/positive intent it would have.

The confederate flag can be used to assert racist, white-supremacist ideas, but it is not inherently so.
