ALMOST 18? why the hell are you trying for a baby?! you obviously haven't gone to college yet, so what job do you plan on getting to support your baby? what kind of life will it have? or have you done no actual thinking? or are your thoughts that you will just have your parents pay for the baby?

ffuweee... oh shut up. its her life, stop overreacting like an old fart.

no, it's not just her life, it's the BABY'S life. it is incredibly irresponsible to bring a child into the world that you cannot support. it's totally selfish. what will the child's life be like?!

whatever madre. shes 18 and shell be responsible for it.

i didn't realize that being eighteen years of age automatically means that you have the ability to support a child. oh, wait... that's because it DOESN'T. this isn't a matter that you can blow off with a 'whatever.' this is serious. this is a LIFE.

If shes in a loving realtionship and shes happy with being able to bring up a baby... then its fine.
She said that her and her partner have money put away to bring the baby up.
Its her choice.
Shes not being selfish, she wants a family.

I see where your coming from, but if she thinks that she is able to bring a baby into this world, then she will do her best to do so.

she's not yet 18 so she doesn't have her own house, she doesn't have a job YET and she shouldn't have a baby until she has a stable career, she can't get a college education while she has a baby unless she wants to neglect the baby... she's setting a poor example... the example she's setting is "don't have priorities... just do what you feel like doing... don't look for stability before having a child, if you want one just have it even if you're uneducated and unemployed"

Ok. You've made your point.
But in the end its her choice, you can't change it.

go with the flow? it's incredibly irresponsible to bring a child into the world that you cannot support and to whom you are not setting a good example, just because you feel like it... it is incredibly irresponsible to bring a child into the world whom you plan on supporting by just 'going with the flow' and seeing if money for baby food and rent happens to fly your way

that's wonderful, you've got a dead-end job and you're enrolled in something that will take time away from your newborn baby

She's just said that her boyfriend has 100 thousand put away to raise the baby.
She's almost 18. You're very quick to jump to the conclusion that she's an immature 18 year old. You don't even know her, so don't judge her situation. It sounds like she's thought about this a lot. Not every family should work the same way, otherwise the world would be very boring.

So stop being so negative and start sending some positive vibes to the mother-to-be.

Edit: That was aimed at shadowofchar.
To the OP, good luck. I hope for all the best in your future with your family.
