I got into a really good university in Dublin and I accepted their offer, and I got on campus accommodation. I live about 200 miles away.

Although I got a grant I still need to work part time. The only time to really work, for any college students is at weekends.

What most people in Ireland do, is they travel home on weekends, get free meals and their clothes washed at home and work Saturday and/or Sunday.

I'm not sure where I should look for work, here or Dublin. Around here its drying up, but I'm sue ts the same in Dublin.

If I find work here I have to come home very weekend, and I don't actually like my house and I don't get along with my dad at all.

But if I get work in Dublin I wont be able to come home often at all, and see my friends and hang around town...

There's also loose ends I want to tie up...

How much would it be costing you to travel home every weekend? It might be easier and so much cheaper to stay in Dublin and just make sure you get your holidays down so that you do have the odd free weekend to travel home and see friends. Also remember that with uni you do get a fair amount of holidays! I think you just need to weigh it up - expenses, your own happiness, what your gut feeling is about the situation, etc.

i think you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see
