is it possible to keep the child for wrong reasons..
i'm pregnant, unplanned.
and well the father and i aren't involved in e/o lives at all we just had sex once in awhile...we aren't in love or anything... and we dont have the money to support this child. i'm plannin on an abortion in a couple of days. but of course second thoughts come and go..but i might just want this baby because i want to love and be loved and..why not my own baby? right?! i dont know... i know IF i have this baby i would love it with all my heart... but it wouldnt be right w/ out a father..
sorry i'm venting.

It's never possible to keep a child for the wrong reason, but it is possible to get rid of one for the right reason.  This may sound odd, but if you can afford to keep the baby, then you can go ahead and have it, there really isn't that much of a reason not to.  But if you can't afford the baby, then Abortion, or adoption after birth are your two best options.  I would rather an adoption after birth happen because then the baby has a life. it may be a difficult process, but it will be worth it in the end I think. :D

you know..i dont know if i'm ready..and if i'm not sure then..its probably best i dont keep it. and i'm almost 19

well I say adoption would be your best choice. your 19 and you have a whole life ahead for you, killing it will just be left in your conscience,.

Trust me I had a unplanned pregnancy and I was with the father, after I had my son his father hasn't been around much and wont help out. I struggle everyday to make sure me and my child are taken care of, just remember YOU will always be stuck with the child no one else so do whats right for you, as much as I love my son I regret having him.

If you're having doubts about the abortion, it's generally best not to go through with it. I'm staunchly pro-choice but most women who regret it are people who had second guesses that they didn't listen to. You can always re-book if you're still early in your pregnancy.

It's not an easy decision to make. What I will tell you is that having a baby so someone will love you is a bad idea. Babies don't give love, they take it. You should want a baby because you want what's best for the BABY, not what you think is best for YOU.

Being a single mother is scary, but hardly impossible. Most young mothers are and we get by. You learn to appreciate a lot of aspects of it. I've been a single mother since day one and I enjoy it a lot, enough to turn down many dating opportunities.

The money issue can be overcome as well. You could get a job for the remainder of your pregnancy, storing away as much as you can. You could apply for welfare, WIC or other social aide programs. You could talk to your parent(s) about helping out until you can get on your feet.

You have options. Unfortunately that's about the best advice you're going to get. No one can make your decision for you. Do you WANT to be a mother? In general? Do you WANT to have a baby? Do you WANT to have your life change in dozens of ways over the next couple years? Important questions to ask yourself.
