In a river.

How can I save it before it's too long? It happened 10 minutes ago.

It was on and then I tried drying it with a blow dryer and now it's gone gone gone. Black screen.

THIS IS A LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION. If he dies I'm going too.

HELP!

Don't power it on. Let it dry overnight.

The same thing happened with my phone and I thought it was a goner. I took out the battery and opened it all up and let it dry overnight, and in the morning it worked.

Now, I doubt you'll be able to open up your iPod, but if you could manage it, it'd be a good start.

Dum de de dumm!!

Q: Oh no. My electronic device has fallen into water, and isn't built for it. What can I do?

A: Well, first of all, I hope for the love of everything, you haven't tried to dry it by putting it in the drier. That is a foolish thing, and doesn't help. You need to find a way to dry it out, not just push the water around into more areas.

You look around, freak out on not finding anything to do, but the answer is most likely in your cupboard. Rice. First, turn it off and put it in cold water, then into the rice bowl. Cold water will wash off all impurities and acidic things so it doesn't mess up the circuits. Take a bowl big enough to hold your electronic and then more. Add dry rice. Add the electronic, put it in the center, surrounded by rice.

Rice is a very dry thing, and will suck up all of the moisture/wetness in your electronic, leaving it dry. So, wait a couple of hours, I would say, 5. Then, add batteries/charge it because it might have lost its power, and try it! It should work very well, I have personally used it before a few times, and is a very simple trick to save your electronics.

Put it on the radiator, or summat warm (pref, on a towel to stop it melting) and leave it for like 2 days. I did that with my phone, and it went to a black screen for like a day I managed to save it and it worked fine. =]

Andx try putting the hold stwich on then off- the pressing MENU and The middle key for about 3 seconds. it may just need resetting =]
