OMG!!! This same shit happened to my mother expect the fact that it was in the washing machine... The screen was all black and there was water inside... What I suggest you do is don't turn it on for a week let it dry in a hot area or fan or something and it'll work again like normal

Sorry to hear that if that was my Zune, I'd freak OUT!

You can open up your computer, spray it down with as much water as you want, and as long as there's no power running through it while you do it and you let it dry completely before you re-plug it in, it will still work. Water doesn't hurt the electronics, shorting it out does. So just leave your iPod off for a night or two and try again.

Don't power it on. Let it dry overnight.

The same thing happened with my phone and I thought it was a goner. I took out the battery and opened it all up and let it dry overnight, and in the morning it worked.

Now, I doubt you'll be able to open up your iPod, but if you could manage it, it'd be a good start.

Yeah I don't think I can't open it.

I just read to let it try for a week and a half and don't turn it on cuz the circuits are wet and blah blah.. I don't know. I'm soo frustrated.

Tavis ftw!

Dum de de dumm!!

Q: Oh no. My electronic device has fallen into water, and isn't built for it. What can I do?

A: Well, first of all, I hope for the love of everything, you haven't tried to dry it by putting it in the drier. That is a foolish thing, and doesn't help. You need to find a way to dry it out, not just push the water around into more areas.

How would i turn my ipod apart?

And second. I have no rice.

You look around, freak out on not finding anything to do, but the answer is most likely in your cupboard. Rice. First, turn it off and put it in cold water, then into the rice bowl. Cold water will wash off all impurities and acidic things so it doesn't mess up the circuits. Take a bowl big enough to hold your electronic and then more. Add dry rice. Add the electronic, put it in the center, surrounded by rice.

Rice is a very dry thing, and will suck up all of the moisture/wetness in your electronic, leaving it dry. So, wait a couple of hours, I would say, 5. Then, add batteries/charge it because it might have lost its power, and try it! It should work very well, I have personally used it before a few times, and is a very simple trick to save your electronics.

I HAVE NO RICE.

and I'm not going all dr who on the poor thing i think the experince was already traumatic.

Ya, you may be screwed then. Cause when its charging, its using even more components with more voltage then just running the battery. It may be a goner :(

Well, if you get rice, just put it in it, charge it, and tada, it should work.

Try and wrap it in a towel and see if that works. I doubt it though. Its probably gotten in the screen too. Just wrap it in something really absorbent and just hope that it will work!
