I just read that binge drinking is drinking more than 5 alcoholic drinks in a row for guys, 4 for women.

Reading the alcohol threads on here, almost all of us need to binge drink in order to get drunk.

It just seems like the term "binge" is being overused here.

I mean, I can drink five drinks and still maintain composure. Although it would be a steep downhill shortly after that, it seems an awfully powerful word to describe "getting drunk".
