Are new reeds from the music store supposed to irritate your tongue? New reeds are rough, and when I use them, at the end of the day, my tongue burns, is red, and sensitive to acetic foods, such as tomato juice or something like that.
Yes, I do prepare the reed properly. I don't use it out of the box like the other people.
