as cliche as it sounds, there's one thing on this earth that has changed me for both the better and for the worse. there is one thing that has made me both weaker and stronger. i've learned from this. i've laughed from this, i've cried from this. i've felt
ecstatic from this, and suicidal from this. i've longed for this, and all the same wanted to get rid of this. countless nights it has kept me up with insomnia. too happy, exhilirated, and smitten to sleep. and too depressed, worthless feeling, and hurt to sleep. both my favorite thing in the world and my least
favorite thing in the world. the thing that everyone bases their life around, yet seems to unfamiliar to them. this thing is a simple word, with a most complex meaning. LOVE. which is, to me, the most important concept in the world. love shouldn't
be taken for granted in any situation. love is a thing that should be treasured, and taken in equal amounts of every emotion possible. love is like a butterfly. beautiful; hold it too tight, and you will kill it. don't hold it tight enough, and it will fly away.

I'll admit, I went to wikipedia too :)
And when I say 'I' in this, I mean I as in everyone in general. Like how some are suicidal from being in love with someone, but the other person leaves them. And some being ecstatic, well because they're actually in love.
