My parents found out I cut last night. I'm not going to go into detail about how, but they just did. I had somewhere to go, so I didn't really talk to them about it. I'm really, really afraid of what's going to happen to me now. My mom asked for my razorblade (I had to tell her what I used and how I got it). I actually have 3, so I will probably give her one. But, I don't want to go to therapy and "get better," I see nothing wrong with me. If they put me with one of those damn therapists, I probably won't say a word. I'm very, very afraid of what is going to happen. My mom sorta cried when I said sorry, she said "I think I should be the one apologizing." I'm just so, so scared right now and I have no idea how to deal with this kind of stress or fear.

When you know something bad is going to happen does trying to
prevent it from happening really help? Or does the bad thing happen

Do you know anything about people who cut and hurt themselves like that? Fuck, I was a cutter. I fucking hit something in my arm one time and caused temporary spasms in my elbow. And even then, it was never a big deal, and I continued on when my parents were concerned, and I would start over and over again, remembering that my mother had cried to last time she'd found out, and that to do it once meant going back to square one. In the end, it's an addiction.
