I do belive there is eternal reward...heaven

It's a hypothetical question.

And I currently do *not* seek to do God's will but I would do so if there were no afterlife (and, obviously, if I was somehow convinced of God's existence).

If I believed in a god that had will, I would seek to do it whether or not there was a promise of an afterlife. With no afterlife and no reincarnation/future incarnations, you've only one chance of indeterminate length in which to do things right; if doing things right was doing things by God's will it would amount to a tremendous personal failing to ignore God's will simply because there was no eternal consequence to the choice.

The afterlife is a small part of what I believe - so yes, I would continue to do God's will.
