I am from Baltimore and I visit there all of the time even though I live 45 minutes away in rural Pennsylvania.
I think it has a lot of character despite being on of the most crime-ridden cities in the country. Their subs are really good and the Inner Harbor is pretty fun, but the coolest spot is near Hopkins University at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
I also like to ride through the neighborhoods where my parents grew up which are places few tourists would go but nonetheless are cool because of the rowhomes and memories from when I was little and went to my grandparents rowhouse. Here is a picture:

So who likes Baltimore?

i go to school down there. it's unlike any city i've been to given what appears to be the nonexistence a middle class. i'm not thrilled about it, but there's still more to see i'm sure.

Each neighborhood has its own design of rowhomes so its not like they all look like that. The ones I posted are pretty low-budget homes.

from what i understand baltimore's homicide rate only occurs in small pockets and is mostly stems from drug related incidents between people who know each other

Actually that is from the Cedonia/ Garden Village neighborhood in Baltimore.
