Okay, so I have this old computer that crashed a while ago. Obviously it's screwed up, and I had to try to fix it, but couldn't, so I got a new computer. Now, I feel like messing with it. I'll try to figure out how to set it back to factory default or something, but after I get it running again, any suggestions as what I should do with it? It's running Windows XP, has 2gigs of ram, 2.4 GHz CPU Speed, and it's a pretty decent computer. I'm thinking of using it to host game servers and such so I can leave it on all night and stuff. I don't really care what happens to it seeing as it's messed up, and I have a new computer now anyway. Looking for serious answers too. Thanks :D

Define crash, please? Cos if it's a software crash, all you need to do is format and reinstall an OS on the HDD...

Pfft. Why not? :P It's been completely wiped because it crashed, so it's like having a new computer, and I can do anything I want on it. Overclock, like Lepperking said, or do what I was planning to do, or if someone comes up with something else. Also, @ Espresso:
That's what I was thinking, wiping the computer and installing windows/Linux on it. I just needed someone to verify that Linux would be a good idea, but I've never used it before, so I don't know exactly what to expect :P

Linux is a better idea if it's for server hosting. Fewer overheads, easier to control remotely, more stable, etc...

Linux would be a good choice if the games you wish to be hosting have Linux server support. Many do.
