When I use LiveWire and play WMP on my computer, I use about 40% of my computer's available RAM.

Is that high?  Should I upgrade to more RAM?  Or is that about average?

More RAM is never a bad idea.

Unless you already have 4gb in a 32bit system.

You are correct.  I'm using 5 Windows Vista gadgets.  I thought it might be that.

yeah vista sucks up RAM like a vacuum, if u want to get more performance from your comp you should revert to XP or install it because vista is more about appearance and it makes the requirements of all programs much higher

How will the computer shop change my processor to quad and my ram to 4.0 without messing up all my data?

Also, could I stay with the dual and be compatible with 4.0 GB ram?
