I met a man at my basic training with the army, a Corporal Dyar....he was 23 and incredibly good looking, I could tell that.

He was quiet and spoke quietly and he mainly talked to girls. He was definitely straight and one of the other Cpls told me he has a long list of ex-gfs.

I was lucky enough to have him shoot with me on the range, and we talked a bit. And walked in silence together. He was a nice man and everyone liked him. When he did speak he held your attention and had a wry smile as he spoke, but what he said was always serious. He didn't joke, he smiled but he didn't joke.

I was a loud person in my adolescence. I made jokes and was very popular.

Recently I found myself being quiet and just generally liking my own company and not having a desire to hold everyone's attention. And when with people I prefer to just walk in silence and be left to my own thoughts. I don't joke anymore and prefer to hang out with girls.

I didn't like what I was doing cos I was losing friends, or having things said about me. But Dyar showed me that life is good quiet and on the edge.

Could nature make a man of me yet?

He sounds gorgeous...would you go him? ;)
Seriously though, I've felt the same too, recently I've changed a lot similarly, and continue to do so. I guess it's just another stage of maturity.
