so ok i went to best buy and got a lap top and the sims 2 and when i go to make a family it locks up. i took it to ask them what why and can they fix it and they said there is some kind of "patch" but i have no idea what they are talking about. can anyone here help me?

i specifically asked for a lap top that could run the simes so i dont think its the computer. but they said i have a 64 bit and the game runs on 32 bit or something. i dont know so can someone help?

They might be talking about the patches you can download on the Sims 2 websites. They are made to fix the bugs that they didn't catch up on before they released it. If you go to the Sims 2 website (www.thesims2.ea.com) then go to Help -> Patches.
