As I always say it is all in yor head - I would assume you are rather a weak minded person trying to escape the stupidest way possible - by hurting your body. You are expiriencing first hand the syndrome that a stronger pain (hurting your self) supresses other pain (in your case the discomfort you feel for whatever reason). In other words you do not stop because you DON'T WANT to it's not because YOU CANNOT!
