Freshmen year in high school was just odd... period. Didn't like it much but I would say it was probably the best out of the four years- and none of them are anything to be proud of or even something I would wish for to remember.

Freshmen year in college, however... that was one of the BEST years of my life! Met so many new people, many of them of which I still am friends with and stay in contact with. I really wish I could relive that year over and over. *sigh*

Freshman year = year 9?

That was when I went to a girls' Catholic school. And inconveniently discovered my bi/pansexuality.
Other than that, it was good. No bitching, no fighting, little drama.
Kinda boring, actually.
And mine wasn't really a year. I went into Yr10 3/4s of the way through the school year, because my current school is weird.

New school, new town, very few friends at that point, and since I was the only freshman to make varsity on the soccer team, I went through one hell of a traumatizing initiation ritual that I still haven't entirely lived down.

First semester was amazing. High grades, cool people, had a girlfriend.

Second semester sucked. The grades sucked, the people became dicks, and the girlfriend dumped me brutally. The girlfriend I made during that semester turned out dumping me fora  chick a month later.
