In the US it's Walmart or A&F. Nothing in between.

  Why?

Because you're an idiot who has never been to America.

You clearly shouldn't talk about shit you know nothing about.

Well, I DID say I'd never been to America and I said CORRECT me not call me an idiot.

That was me correcting you.

This is in response to this thread

And yes I do realise that everyone is probably going to despise me because I'm dragging this argument out FAR more than necessary.

As I was saying, the trouble with clothing in America is that you have NO HIGHSTREET SHOPS.

[NB I have never been to America, this is my impression from this forum and movies, so correct me if I'm wrong].

In the US it's Walmart or A&F. Nothing in between.

Why?

Why must it be either cheap tat or overpriced clothes with 'HOLLISTER' emblazoned across the front?

Look: http://www.topshop.com

A highstreet shop, where are the brand names on the clothing? Nope, there are none.

That is what you're missing in America.

So stop moaning about conformity and get off you arse and create some highstreet fashions.

True, but you know another problem? All the American clothes for males are fitted for, for lack of a better word, fat people. Honestly, women's clothes fie me better.

You cant assume that ALL Americans will dress like that just from watching movies and such.

I've seen people from England that dressed like beggars...but I don't assume they all dress like that

Are there no brand names even on the tags inside the collar?

In australia most people shop in chain stores/department stores in malls. I like the classy expensive department stores and other shops which are the official boutique outlet type thing, for example a shop full of Industrie clothes with Industrie on the door.

there are no U.S brands that I've ever seen (I have been to America), that I would shop at regularly. By this I mean, there's nothing Topshop-esque.

there's french connection, H&M, Gap, Zara..places like that.
