Feel free to disagree with me if you want, but it's of my firm belief that many predominantely black areas host strong values in having high self-esteem and confidence. This is why you see many minorities in predominantely white areas suffering from insecurity and depression.

THIS is the answer, right here. Black people have trouble with the man keeping them down, and white people have trouble with depression and ADD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, etc. And even though ANYBODY of ANY COLOR can have ANY type of problem, every race has their own 'specific' set of problems that they typically go through. Lol @ the white people on here who say things like "white people are known for [insert issue here] because they're the majority, but EVERYONE ELSE has it just the same" YET...when it comes to, say, a black issue where the black community is living in the ghetto, they keep it as a black thing.

It's a shame you missed the sarcasm.
Really. You work hard at school, get your grades, go to a decent college and there is ZERO reason why you won't end up fine. Don't gimme bullshit, i didn't get the job because i'm black......yes there are racists around, but corporations get CRUCIFIED for any form of this and its too risky to their public image.
Heck, look around you, any decent company has WE PROMOTE EQUALITY splashed all over their front page, they'll even go out of their way in recruitment drives to recruit specifically MORE black people to balance the numbers.

You go into that job, nail the interview, with the relevant qualifications and experience and you'll get the job. Best man for the job is the phrase, i'm sorry but people who live in the past are of no use to a minority trying to pull up their socks and get on with things.
