So I've seen the Dark Knight a couple of times now, and like any film connoisseur I do not bother myself with ratings or reviews but for some reason I checked IMDB to see what it was rated for the hell of it. I was shocked to find that it was rated a 9.5. A nine point fucking five, are you kidding me? Don't get me wrong it was an amazing movie. It was a great movie based on the comics, certainly the best of the batman series and the best to come out this year. But a 9.5, no, just no. First off I knew the ending before even sitting down in the theater. Second the actors were great, Ledger did a phenomenal job of playing the Joker, but I'm not going to stroke his dead cock just because he's pushing up daises. Third what the fuck was with the length, they combined 2 movies in one, all I wanted to do after the first part was go home and fuck the shit out of girlfriend, I didn't want to sit around while bat boy killed off another villain. Block buster films should save something for the squeals. I know the ending, I know the story, just blow shit up, throw in a small plot twist, leave us with a cliff hanger for the next series and call it a day. The Dark Knight was just another example of a blockbuster trying to go indie. Film executives here is a word of advice to you, stick to what you do best, take my money, entertain me for an hour or so and release a new movie in a year so we can repeat the process. It seems all the truly good movies never make it to theaters and fall way below the radar, don't try to be like them.

well you're just a true filmmaker now aren't you? you obviously know more about filmmaking than the professionals do. tell ya what, if you can do a better job, go get a job in the film industry, get a studio to finance your $180 million dollar movie, then break 10 or so different world film records, hit the number 1 spot on imdb's top 250 list (even if it's only for a day or two), and then come back here and make a thread about it. then maybe you'll know what you're talking about.
------- This is it Joel. It's going to be gone soon. I know. What do we do? ... Enjoy it.

People build movies up so much is why they are then so well liked. I think it was built up to much. It was good but not amazing. Also it seemed to me like it would have a sequel to it but I don't think so after seeing it.
