Sorry for posting this again. I'd like to hear what more people have to say.

I have a real, real big problem.

My ex and I have already signed a lease to live together next school year. I know this isn't the best of ideas, but it's a done deal already. I'm struggling with my funds and can't really afford to get someone to take over my lease; I've had to do that before and it ate a hole in my pocket.

Anyway, we have a lot of stuff to work through and we still love each other. But a lot of things have happened in the past that makes us have trust issues. Lots of them.

We don't talk much either. Probably because of all the stuff that's happened in the past, that's what we think about most of the time. When we start to talk about things, it just gets ugly and our problems never get solved.

He said to me tonight that he's not compatible with my family, either. Also that when we're together, we don't do anything. I mean I always suggest us going out and doing something fun, but he would rather sit around on his computer all day.

We're both still in love with each other and we'll be living together for the next year, but we have all this stuff to deal with.

If you were me, living with him for the next year or so, what would you do to make things better? I can't really get out of the lease and I want to make this work. I just don't know how.

Any advice would be much appreciated

I'm on LW right now, and am on here most of my days. But I like the real world too.

And it's not really about us not doing anything. It's about us living together with so many problems, where we don't solve them ever.
