War of the Worlds gets a nomination for Visual Effects and Sin City doesn't.

this is one example (of many) that particularly stings to me, cause Sin City is on my top 5 favorite films of all time. so when people ask me "do you think heath ledger will get an Academy Award for his performance", I don't care. Just because they say so or don't doesn't make it any less riveting. The only good thing the Academy has done in the past ten years is awardrape LoTR:RoTK and give Crash the win over Brokeback.

Sin City=fucking Amazing action movie.

explain to me why WotW got the nomination. I'll tell you why, because of the content. WotW is made after a famous book, a classic. Sin City is a gritty comic book movie directed by "disgraces to hollywood" such as robert rodriquez and Quentin Terrintino, both of whom have been fucked by the academy.
