I'm a college freshman and for my first semester I have the following scheduled: College Chemistry General Chemistry Lab Biological Concepts: Ecology, Evolution, and Genetics Calculus I Biochemistry/Chemistry Seminar I'm at 15 credit hours at the moment and I already have my English credits. I was thinking of adding an easier class... Thoughts?

If you think you can handle it, then go for it.

even if its an easier class it adds to your schedule. it just depends on what you feel most comfortable with.

That is the thing, I don't know if I can handle it. My dad told me not to stack up during my first semester, because I have to get used to everything...but it seems like a waste of time if I don't.

15 is a fairly standard credit load if you're completing a BA in four years, so I wouldn't worry about taking more just yet. Perhaps once you've had time not only to adjust, but to solidify your GPA and find your place on campus, you can take a heavier load. But unless your major/degree is highly rigid and sequential, and not adding another class will delay graduation, you're golden for now.

I would suggest adding a 3 credit course, that way, if you have to drop, you don't lose.

if you think you need it, then go for it. That doesn't look like that heavy of a load.

if u do 15 creds a semester, ull graduate in 4 years. i took 13 creds my first and 12 my second so i could get a good gpa and get used to school.. now next year im taking 17 creds.. i think i can handle it because im used to school and know what to expect. first semester i was freaking out about everything, so i dont think a lot is good
