Okay, John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." But as you may know, he was resurrected three days later. I do not get the meaning of that. And the reason PASSION OF THE CHRIST is the title is because I watched the movie, and it made me think of this. I'm a very Christian person, and I'm not ashamed of my religion and thoughts. I'm just confused as to what that means.

He was resurrected only so that he could show people that he can not be held down by death.
He came back to life to show his disciples that he had risen again, and that they should continue to spread God's message.
But very shortly after the resurrection, he ascended into Heaven.
The sacrifice that God made had less to do with Christ's actual death, and more to do with the suffering.
But that's just my opinion.

i have certainly answered that question by saying that Jesus Christ did not die, but Allah raised him to Himself.  I have quoted the Quranic verse which says in reference to what the Jews used to assert: "And their statement 'We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah'. They certainly have neither killed him nor crucified him, although it was made to appear so to them." This verse concludes with a categorical statement: "For certain they have not killed him, but Allah has raised him to Himself. Allah is Almighty, Wise." So the three religions have completely different opinions about that...according to Islam :  Jesus Christ is not the son of god.i know both Christians and Muslims both say "We believe in Jesus"  But exactly what does The Bible really say? What does it say in The Quran?...we don't believe that Jesus was the son of God :Say: "God is Unique! God, the Source [of everything]. He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered, and there is nothing comparable to Him!" (Quran 112:1-4).and the quraan also states: Such was Jesus, the son of Mary; it is a statement of truth, about which they vainly dispute. It is not befitting to the majesty of God, that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, 'Be' and it is" (Quran 19:34-35)...but we don't believe was killed on the cross then resurrected "They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did." (Quran 4:156) "God lifted him up to His presence. God is Almighty, All-Wise" (Quran 4:157) ...
so that what i believe in..it's logical but it's different from Christianity's views

He was ressurected to "defeat death"

He died as a sacrifice and rose again because he conquered death.

1 Corinthians 15

50I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."[g]
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"[h] 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain

The whole faith of Christianity revolves around the resurrection of Christ. If Jesus died and never arose, then he would ahve been nothing but another normal man or prophet who simply walked the Earth. The stark contrast here is that Jesus wasn't just any prophet or miracle healer. He was God incarnate. Now in very simple terms, what would happen if Christ, the Son of God diedm and never arose?

The ressurection is the sign of victory over death. My guess is that you seem to be misinterpreting the context of John 3:16 where it says one shall not perish at all, but have eternal life. When God gave His Son, Jesus to die on the cross, that was the sacrifice. The death on the cross itself was the 'gave' part of it. And relate to the end of the verse, "that one shall nor perish but have eternal life", which is actually contradictionary if Jesus was killed and never ressurected at all. The ressurection itself was symbolic of the everlasting life given, that Jesus was literally unkillable having rose from the dead, thus eternal.

i'm not sure if that answers the question, please do clarify if it doesn't.

The key to victory is the element of surprise.
When that doesn't work, I guess I just gotta gun you down.

It is actually called Passion of the Christ because The Passion is the official theological term for what you watched a representation of.
