I work at a petting zoo and on wednesday I noticed these freaky looking people there hanging around the puppies(we had 4). The next day(Thursday) I got a call from my granddad(boss) to get dressed and help clean up mud(from the storm the night before) When I went near the puppies's cage I noticed that there was only 2 and that the lock and chain were missing. I told my boss and later went home. It wasn't my shift yet. When I came in I saw some gigantic bolt cutters in the office on a table. A coworker said that she found them in the dumpster.
Fast foward to today(Saturday) another coworker said that he had talked to a guy that was at the zoo on wednesday. He said that he had seen the puppies that we had lost and he(the source) stated that he was glad that we had adopted 2 to the same person and when my coworker told him that they were stolen that he gave him the address that he saw them at. My coworker later went to the PD to report them and give them the address.
I was later interviewed by an officer and soon they will be getting a search warrant for the house. When they do I'll be getting a call at work from them.
