Im already 19 but im only 5"8 in height. All my life, i have been assured by my parents, that drinking milk, playing basketball, stretching will make me grow taller. They are totally clueless with no medical knowledge and yet they assert their opinions to be facts. Calcium doesnt make you taller, only gives you stronger bones. Basketball players are tall because they're tall, not because they jump alot. Having a healthy diet and exercising, is important for one to reach his/her maximum growth potential, which is largely detemined by genes. They do not, however, increase your growth potential.
Only way to actually increase your growth potential:
For Kids: Growth hormones like humatrope
For Adults: Limb Lenghtening Surgery. Growth hormones will not result in height in adults no matter what is being advertised or said.
The downside of these is the cost factor.
So parents, if you dont know the truth, dont misinform your kids. You are having an adverse impact on their future
