Talk to him, not argue. Listen to his point of view, and then explain yours.
Ask the reasons he doesn't like the young man, and why he won't let you go out with him. My experince dads know alot more about people then they let on. And instincts are really well, considering mine told me not to go out with this one guy, and I did anyway. Long story short, I ended up needing a ride home, my 'bf' stole my money,phone,and ran.
