So, I posted yesterday about talking to my doctor about getting dizzy when my mom yells at me. My doctor said that me, my mom and my sisters should all see a counselor. My mom already sees one and I dont want to go to the same one as her. Because then all id probably hear is 'dont be mad at ur mom, shes doing the best she can', an excuse im ABSOLUTELY SICK OF HEARING!!!!!! And then she said all the dizziness is just anxiety and ill have to 'get that under control'. What the heck does that mean?!? And if I knew how to control it, it wouldnt be a problem!! grrr!

Im asking if this was really helpful advice or not!?

You won't hear that from the councilor if you see the same one as your mom. She/he's there to help YOU as an individual and give you advice and coping mechanisms.

thats really bad doctor advice...i am sure anyone could have to told you it is anxiety but it is her job to actually fix it...a counselor won't tell you that either...they have to treat you seperately from your mom...just because they actually know her can not get in the way...and if they are stupid enough to tell you that get up and yell and scream and make a big deal!
