People need to realize it's not about race or gender. It's about the issues and what they are going to do for our country. People who only think about what the candidate looks like shouldn't vote at all. It's kind of stupid to vote and make other Americans miserable by the president, who intolerant people that don't know what they are voting for.

Too bad that will never, never happen in your lifetime, or anybody else's.
No matter what you say, or even truly believe in your head, the fact that Obama looks the way he does definitely impressed something on you, and if he were a white guy, I doubt you'd be so impressed.

I was up for John Kerry the last election; He was white. Does that not mean I'm impressed with him? No! I did want him, and not because of his race. I really just want a Democrat to win, but it seems to never happen.

Don't be foolish, you missed what I was saying, if anything you made yourself look a little worse. Political parties don't mean all too much anymore, and voting for a Democrat just because he's a democrat is a moronic thing to do. My point is that Obama isn't spectacular, he's your average politician (minus a few years) but people spooge over him anyway. Why? Because he's not white.

I want Obama. It's clear that the rest of the world does too, including our allies, which is something that Americans shouldn't overlook. We can't run the world by ourselves.

It's sad that this election has come to be affected by race and gender. The truth is that we have viable candidates that are different in those aspects so it definitely polarizes Americans. As much as we'd like to live in the ideal world, we don't. I hope people will pay attention to what matters most.

We shouldn't run the world, we should mind our own business and have enough arms to make sure the rest of the world minds theirs.

I don't think we should run the world either. The problem is obviously that other countries want enough arms to make sure the rest of the world minds their own business as well. It's a globalized era on top of that and everything is interconnected, the US has to make sure they're on more peoples' good side, which the US of today seems to ignore.

McCain seems to be a good person to me, but I'll probably still vote for Obama.
