and my brother was too.
but we weren't aborted.

My mother was a single parent, and she didn't have the money to raise my brother and I. Yet we grew up just fine. It was hard, and we didn't have any of the things normal children get, but we made it. Just because you can't pay all of your bills and you have to work extra hard doesn't mean you shouldn't have children. You just have fight and work harder and ask for help when you need it.

Besides, whether you have children or not your bills are still going to be hard to pay. It's just me and my roommate and we have enough trouble paying bills and we don't even have them yet. This is pre-bill stage and we don't have the money for it.

To me, that's not a reason to abort a fetus.

I shouldn't have been born.  The right decision was clearly laid out for my mother, but she was too wrapped up in doing what she was told was moral to do what was right for her children, more specifically, the child that was already born.

I'm not pro-choice because I'm "safe".  I'm pro-choice because I feel a child's (or potential child's) best interest should come before all else, and until that child is old enough to make those decisions, it's up to the mother.  If she can't promise a child a good life and/or if she knows continuing with the pregnancy is going to damage the life of a child she already has, she ought to consider the option of abortion.
