I suppose you're just crying because of what you didn't have as a teenager, or you were forced to provide for yourself and grow up early. Ever ungrateful or irresponsible teen on here gets flamed for how fucking retarded they are for getting pregnant or taking things for granted, and now you should be flamed for crying over their lives instead of growing up and realizing that you're better than them (although in my opinion you aren't that much better than them, you have to complain about it to us)

You know what I did have to grow up early. My mom had cancer, I had to raise 2 kids, and I joined the military. But that doesn't mean I think I have the right to bitch about the rest of the teen population.

I realize I am a minority, a responsible, grateful teenager. But it doesn't mean I am jealous or anything. I am happy for my experiences. I am not better than anyone. My life is valued the same as the next.

Because I know that if I spat at them and turned my back on them 20 years, they'd take me in in a heartbeat. That's what parents are for. Kids (They are kids) on here are just brats. That's all it is. We, as westerners, are richer than 90% of the world, and yet we are the least grateful.
I went to Gambia and gave a kid my meal because he needed it, and he showered me with thank yous. My mates barely grunt if their parents do anything for them.

Gratefulness for what we have is key.

Yeah, try paying rent, or paying for groceries, electricity, utilities, water, car payments, medical and car insurance, for college, for your books, and tuition, on top of toiletries and luxuries. I think paying for your cell phone bill and 'buying your own clothes' is NOT the same as being out on your own making your own way. Try having those responsibilies on your ass, while trying to get a college education and working a job 50+ hours a week. Then come here and say you actually pay for shit. Because you DONT need a phone and you DONT need clothes. Those are luxuries that aren't on the priority list compared to the shit I got to pay for. I can barely afford rent - hell, I can't even afford groceries. I say good for you teenagers that actually pay for your own luxuries, but alot of you still have NO IDEA what the fuck it's like that if you don't pay rent your fucking ass is out on the street.

I was like that from Feb to March. My oldest brother beat the living crap out of me because i had legal custody of his kids, and I had a restraining order in his kids behalf and since I wouldn't let him see his kids, I got a beating of a lifetime. I had to send the kids who I consider my own to their grandmother's in Arizona. It was hard seeing my 8 year old nephew ripped from my arms and see him being driven away with my face looking like this.

And living in a battered women's shelter until my boyfriend took me in and now we share an apartment.

At some point by my foster family. Yes. And even then, I wanted my mom. No matter how much my foster family gave me, no matter how much money my foster dad gave me, it never replaced how much i wanted to go home to my real mom and be there. Every damn day was a blessing having her wake up. And I could talk to her on the phone.
