Okay, if you look at it from the correct perspective, the CD drive ISN'T THAT IPMORTANT. I don't know about everyone else, but I buy my music online, and have no need for a CD drive. However, the MacBook Air looks nice, but I would really suggest that you spend NOT A DIME MORE and get the MacBook Pro with a bigger screen, 200GB hard drive space, CD/DVD, and is basically the same thing but more awesome (with CD/DVD if you really need that.) $1770 on Amazon. http://preview.tinyurl.com/amazonmacbookpro Good luck!
It really is the exact same price? I would get that then, I didn't even look at the price.. I thought it was so much more. I LOVE the sleek design of the macbook air though.. Its like.. amaazzzingg.

Then go for it. I like the MacBook Air becuase you can just throw it in your bag or carry it with you and it's not like carrying a large laptop. I have a MacBook Pro but I might buy the MacBook Air sometime later becuase I just need a laptop I can carry around.
Exactly. I love the small size. and $99 isn't bad for an extra disk drive.. and chances are I will have room in my bag for it.. and I do everything wirelessly anyway and rarely use CD's. aaah, What do you think of the Macbook Pro? You are a lucky,lucky boy. I know that also I go to college next year.. and if I buy this Macbook I get a free ipod touch.. did you get that deal ?
Haha, I own a business, so I just paid for it with the money I got from it. The MacBook Pro is nice, the larger screen is sweet and the extra ports are useful. Overall it's a great machine, but the only main advantages for non-powerusers are the larger screen, larger hard drive, faster processor, and more memory. Chances are that most people here aren't running as many apps here as I am (currently needing to upgrade my computer to 4GB of RAM) so I think you'll do just fine with a MacBook Air.
d00d you run a business? Sweet. Yeah, I don't really need all those advantages. I just want to be able to browse the internet and get on itunes.. also write papers and do homework without it taking forever to load. and i want it to be compact enough to fit almost anywhere. so thats why i love the sleek style.
