So im best friends with a girl whos great at every subject in school... A's and A *'s across the board. and Im happy for her. But then she took up piano. Ive been doing it for while going for my grade 5 in autumn. she just got her results back and got a distinction which is the best pass ever.

So i feel completely reatrded and useless and like I cant do anything in comparison to her. So i feel soo fucking RARGHH and everyone thinks im being stupid.

Its just like the one thing I thought I could do the one thing I was good at. Im not. Never have I EVER Got a distinction let alone a MERIT which better than a pass but not a distinction. I only ever passed or failed.
She takes one exam and gets a distinction ... why is she good at EVERYTHING it just gets to me.

So it's jealousy I guess?
I feel that way too sometimes.

I find something I like and someone else comes along and they prove that they're better.
Senior year with my best friend (almost straight A's and awards for photography) was nearly unbearable.
I can understand where your coming from.

Try different things, maybe you'll be better at drawing or some sort of sport or another instrument. Or work harder on the piano.

Everything in life is relative, but don't spend too much time thinking about how much you suck at something, and how someone else is better. Set it aside and do what YOU love because YOU love it. Don't give it up just because someone else is better.

The feeling will pass, I think. But I know it REALLY sucks when it's hanging around.

i use to feel the same way how m parents use to compare me to this guy that i new since i was 3 but then i started to do what made me happy and doing more things and i got over it

But thats the thing, i dont do sports. i suck. I cant start a newinstrument my parents wont let me. and I love playing piano. shes better at EVERYTHING. and I just want to feel good about myself without her sitting there doing better, im not beter at anything. except maybe health. I mean everything she does ends up hurting her. which is slightly melodramtic OMG I stood on a stone OUCH.
