I hear this a lot from friends. They always say that their parents are ruining thier life. But if you compare people who complain about their parents vs people who dont, usually the people who dont will be a little more disdruaght. They get into bad things because they are too free. You mom loves you. That is very obvious becuase she isnt letting you do what you want to do. IMO all parents need to do this. Its possible that your mom thinks of your dad as a bad influence and wants to protect you from him.

As for how she complains, it might be her way of showing her disipointment in how you arent happy. She pays for all this stuff but you might not express your gratitude. A thanks once and a while will really make her happy. Works on my parents!

this is my opinion on the matter, i am speaking from personal exp. Try to understand where she is coming from and maybe you two will start to get along better. Its a mutual clash of issues

Trust me, it doesn't. She constantly just TRIES to ruin my mood. It's fucking pitiful, really. And if she "loves" me, then why in the HELL does she randomly tell me she hates me?
I dont' have to say a word to her. She'll just walk into a room and tell me what a failure I am and walk away. <sarcasm> It's sooooo FANTASTIC. </sarcasm>
