They help to lower ones risk of contracting HIV etc, right? What else do they help to lower the risk of getting? What don't they lower your risk of getting?
Also, if someone (a guy) is a virgin, with HIV negative parents, is there any way they could have an STD?

They reduce the risk of getting all STDs I'm pretty sure. And no, unless he had an HIV positive blood transfusion or some such thing. OH! Or if he's a wrestler, and the mats that his league use aren't sanitary. So I guess there are quite a few ways to get an STD. It's possible, yes. Sorry if this is confusing :P

Condoms seriously reduce the risk of contracting any STDs, HIV/AIDS included. It's in the late 90%.
I'm not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure there is a chance of contacting an STD even without sexual contact.
