Advice please?

So, my boyfriend and I have been going out for a bit over a month and at the end of August, he's leaving for college.

So the deal is, I will break up with him before he leaves for college for sure, but lately I've been noticing that he's been getting very attached and I'm afraid that he will continue to grow even more attached within the next month. So I'm thinking about breaking up with him soom because I don't want it to be harder on him later on. As for me, I'm not attached to him at all because I knew that our relationship would end before he left...

So what are you thoughts? Do you think it's better for me to break up with him now to allow him time to get over the break up so that he's not bitter before he goes off to college? Or do you think i hsould just stay with him even tho I know nothing will come of the relationship in the future...?
