I'd rather have a regular sword. If it doesn't bend you could actually STAB SOMEONE which is what it's for.

A sword like the Urumi would be difficult to parry or defend against. The blades would wrap around a sword or shield and possibly cut you up.

On the other hand you might be able to cut it apart with a real sword.

I doubt you'd be able to cut a urumi with a regular sword. The blades are made of steel. It's strong, just flexible.

It's flexibility could possibly even keep it from being broken or cut.
