They are cutting down on the hallucinogenic properties though. It's basically the same as any other alcohol aside from taste.

It never did though. Wormwood has no hallucinogenic properties...

I'll stick to beer and JD.

Mmm, Jack Daniels.

I've tried Absinth one time, I thought the taste was pretty cool, but I didn't really hallucinate like people say you do.

Not true. Read the article I linked too. It reminds you that there is such a small amount of a chemical found in wormwood, that it has no effect.

I have seen many sources that show that wormwood is not psychoactive.

Tried and got blitzed are two different things... I'd like to know if there is any slight difference between getting blitzed on Absinthe or being blitzed from EverClear.

wormwood has very slight traces of thujone, which is thought to be the cause of the hallucinations

I've also come across many that would suggest otherwise... Including teenagers that swear by it. (Not absinthe, wormwood.)

I've had absinthe with a high wormwood content several times, and it had no effect beyond that of alcohol. It was a different kind of drunk, in the save way that tequila is different than vodka.
